良性前列腺增生（benign prostatic hyperplasia,BPH）是指中老年男性（50岁以上）组织学上前列腺间质、腺体成分的增生和解剖学上前列腺的增大（benign prostatic enlargement,BPE）,以尿动力学上的膀胱出口梗阻（bladder outlet obstruction,BOO）和临床上主要表现的下尿路症状（lower urinary tract symptoms,LUTS）为特征的一种疾病。BPH属中医"精癃"范畴。
